One a one to many relationship has been set between two tables I can than create a One-to-Many From using the Form Wizard.

The following shows the steps.

Access Forms

Forms can be used for:

  • data entry
  • application flow
  • custom dialog boxes
  • printing information

Anatomy of a Form

  • Header
  • Detail
  • Footer
The design form has several tool bars.

  • Form Design toolbar is the toolbar right below the 'File Edit ...' menu option of Access
  • Formatting toolbar
Form Design Window includes:

  • toolbar
  • toolbox

Access doesn't allow object to overlap in a form.

How does one find the "Control Source" property?
It is under the 'Data' table of the Properties window.

What is an Access Database

An Access database is made up of tables, queries, forms, reports, data access pages, macros, and modules.

tables - a repository for the data

relationships - tie the table together

queries - stored questions or actions to be applied to the tables

forms - a means of displaying, modifying, and adding data

reports - turning data into information

data access pages - forms viewed in a browser

macros - a means of automating your system

modules - coding?

Access SQL

Access SQL is not a complete implementation.

Help inside SQL give you the syntax for the SQL commands.

Goals and Objective

My goal and objective is to become proficient enough to create simple databases with forms and reports.

Microsoft Access 2003 Forms, Reports, and Queries

Introduction

Queries extract data.

Forms front ends.

Reports are used to publish results.

Safari

Does GTRI have a Safari account? No, it is just a preview mode.

I would cost me about $14.99 for a 10-slot bookself.

Doesn't look like GTRI or GT has anythings setup with Safari.
